PITTSBURGH — A woman has been sentenced to 18 months to 5 years in prison for running down her boyfriend with a van following a domestic dispute.

Demona Anderson, 41, of East Pittsburgh was sentenced Tuesday. She was convicted in May of involuntary manslaughter in the February 2013 death of 42-year-old Dwan Jones.

Jones, described by his family as a father of 10, was trying to board a transit bus to leave after Anderson called 911 to report an altercation with him. That’s when Anderson hit Jones with her van.
