Terry Neale “Buck” Ridley, 76, formerly of Bruin, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, at the Southwestern Veterans’ Center, in Pittsburgh, surrounded by his loving family.

Buck was born Jan. 26, 1950, in Butler, son of the late Ronald and Doris (Terwilliger) Ridley.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie Ridley, who passed away Jan. 29, 2025.

He is survived by his children, Cari (Matt) Horner, of Greensburg, and Greg (Erica) Ridley, of Irwin; his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Grandad,” Jacob, Allyson, Mitch, Jordyn and Dylan; his sister, Luanne (Ray) Hinchey, of Middletown, Va.; his brother-in-law, Randy (Judy) Bartoe; and his nephews, Bryan, Nathan and Caleb.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Ridley.

Buck attended Karns City High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a life member of Parker VFW Post 7073, Bradys Bend Legion Post 488 and the Bruin Volunteer Fire Department.

Buck worked at Witco/Sonneborn, in Petrolia, for 33 years before retiring. He later became a beer representative for O’Donnell’s Distributor and a golf course ranger at Hiland Golf Course, where he combined his love of the game with his friendly nature.

Buck enjoyed golfing and coaching baseball in the Karns City and Butler areas. He helped establish the UAA baseball program in Karns City, coached Pony League and prep league baseball, and umpired American Legion and high school baseball games.

He was a member of Bruin Methodist Church. In recent years, he found great comfort in his faith and regularly attended services at the veterans center.

The family extends special thanks to those at the Sergeant Joseph George Kusick VA Community Living Center, in Butler, and the Southwestern Veterans’ Center, in Pittsburgh, for the compassionate care Buck received.

RIDLEY — A private memorial service for Terry Neale “Buck” Ridley, who died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, will be held at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, in Parker.

A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Dew Drop Inn, in Chicora.
