Cranberry Township Waterpark, in partnership with Goldfish Swim School, once again hosted World's Largest Swim Lesson on Thursday, Aug. 6.

Since joining the global initiative in 2023, the waterpark has advocated for water safety measures by teaching kids ranging in age from 3- to 18-years old the basics of swimming for free.

“Any time we can bring attention to water safety, we jump on it,” said Dave Hutner, Cranberry Township Parks & Recreation assistant director.

This year, the lesson had to be rescheduled from its original June date due to weather concerns.

“The lessons went wonderfully,” said Hutner.

While a few of the original 75 registrants were unable to attend, he said “the ones who came had fun.”
