Burns

With love and gratitude, we remember Marsha Burns, of Butler, who entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of 78.

Marsha was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, family member and friend. She enjoyed serving others in quiet ways. She loved baking for her church family and often arrived before the pastor with homemade treats to share. She also enjoyed visiting Amish country with her sister, Paulette, and niece, Anna Marie, where she found peace in the simple beauty of the countryside. Her beloved dog, Louie, was a faithful companion who brought her comfort and joy.

While receiving physical therapy at the skilled nursing facility, Marsha struggled as she walked the hallways. She told me she felt a hurt in her heart to see so many people struggling. We agreed to pray for them, asking that they would come to know the love, peace and hope found in Jesus Christ.

Near the end of her life, Marsha was baptized as a public profession of her faith in Jesus Christ. Her hope rested in the Savior who loved her and gave Himself for her.

Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” John 11:25-26 (New King James Version)

Marsha is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marie Fincher; her granddaughter, Brayen Fincher; her sister, Paulette Bowen; and by many other relatives and friends who loved her.

Though her family grieves her absence, they do not grieve without hope. Their hope is found in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, was buried and rose again, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe in Him.

The family is deeply grateful to the friends, church family, caregivers, hospice staff and all who prayed for, visited, encouraged and cared for Marsha during her illness. Your kindness and love will always be remembered.

May all who read these words know the same hope that Marsha found in Jesus Christ.

BURNS — Interment for Marsha Burns, who died Friday, July 31, 2026, was held in Northside Cemetery, Butler.

Private funeral arrangements were under the direction of HILE FUNERAL HOME OF CHICORA.
