Lester Daniel Bailey, 73, of Butler, passed away at home on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026.

He was born on Feb. 22, 1953, in Butler.

He attended Butler High School and proudly served in the U.S. military from 1971 through 1977. He worked in retail and his last employment was with Giant Eagle. Lester enjoyed cruising Butler’s Main Street, puzzle books, drawing and socializing with neighbors.

He is survived by his children, Christopher, Eric and Megan; sister, Peggy Thompson; brothers, David (Donna) Bailey and Paul (Barbara) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Laura Bailey; and brothers, Frank and George Bailey.

BAILEY — All services for Lester Daniel Bailey, who died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, will be held privately per his wishes.

He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, Butler.
