ROLLING BUCKEYESTop-ranked Ohio State rolled to a 37-7 victory over Cincinnati. Troy Smith completed 21-of-30 passes for 203 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Ted Ginn Jr. The Buckeyes have a 12-2 record against the Bearcats and have not lost in the series since 1897.

BIG BLUE BRUISINGEleventh-ranked Michigan scored the most points against second-ranked Notre Dame at home in 46 years in a 47-21 rout. The Wolverines ended a two-game losing streak to the Fighting Irish as well as a three-game slide at Notre Dame Stadium. The 47 points were second only to the 51 scored at Notre Dame by Purdue in 1960.

BEST OF THE WESTSixth-ranked LSU had five drives inside Tigers territory end with no points in the lowest scoring game at No. 3 Auburn since 1973. It was the first time since 1972 both teams met ranked in the Top 10. Five times in the last six years, the winner of the matchup has won the SEC Western Division title.

SEEING YELLOWTexas avoided losing two straight games for the first time since 1999 with a 52-7 rout of Rice. The Longhorns rebounded from last week's 24-7 loss to Ohio State with 493 yards and 22 first downs to the Owls' 168 yards and 11 first downs. But, Texas also committed a school-record 19 penalties for 148 yards. On one drive late in the first, three straight penalties forced the Longhorns to settle for a field goal.

CYCLONE WRANGLERSNo. 16 Iowa rallied from a 14-3 deficit to beat rival Iowa State 27-17. The Cyclones had taken six of the last eight from Iowa — including a 23-3 thumping last season — and looked poised to make it seven of nine. But Drew Tate led Iowa back by throwing a pair of touchdown passes in the second half. He finished 26-of-38 for 274 yards and three scores.

UNLEASHEDGeorgia blanked UAB 34-0 for the No. 10 Bulldogs' second straight shutout. The Blazers managed only 163 yards against a defense that shut out South Carolina 18-0 the previous week. Georgia has gone 123 minutes, 32 seconds since allowing a point. It was the first time since 1980 — the Bulldogs' national championship season — that they've posted two shutouts in a row.

LUCKY DUCKSNo. 18 Oregon beat 15th-ranked Oklahoma for the first time with a 34-33 upset victory. The Ducks rallied for two touchdowns in the final 72 seconds — with help from a disputed onside kick — and blocked a field goal on the final play. Oregon hadn't defeated the Sooners in six previous meetings dating to 1966.

BATTERED BROHMBrian Brohm threw for 181 yards and touchdown before leaving Louisville's 31-7 rout of No. 17 Miami with a hand injury.
