Personal care firm expands

Quality Life Services has expanded into Lawrence County with the acquisition of Golden Hill Nursing and Rehab in New Castle.

It has room for 204 residents, according to Steven Tack, chief executive officer at Quality Life Services, in a news release.

The new facility will have 235 part-time and full-time employees, according to William Decarbo, president of Golden Hill Nursing and Rehab.

According to Tack, including the new facility, there are about 1,200 employees for all of the Quality Life Services.

Butler-based Quality Life Services is family-owned and operated, and has provided care in Western Pennsylvania for more than 40 years.

It owns and manages eight communities in Armstrong, Butler, Fayette, Mercer and Westmoreland counties. Quality Life Services provides a full continuum of care of independent living, personal care and skilled nursing to more than 1,000 residents.

It also owns and operates Quality Pharmacy, a long-term care and retail pharmacy in Chicora.

Tack said, “For three generations, the Tack family has proudly provided health care services to those in need. We take great pride in the communities that we serve and look forward to continuing the tradition of quality care at Golden Hill.”
