Zelienople’s annual, lively Shindig Charity Music Festival returns
Zelienople will come to life with music, lively conversation and dancing as the Shindig Charity Music Festival returns to Zelienople Community Park.
The festival, which welcomes guests Aug. 7, 8 and 9, will see regional and local musicians play music from the ’80s and ’90s, country rock, blues, old school country and classic and pop rock. There will be a car show Friday, Aug. 7; children’s activities Sunday, Aug. 9; and a craft and vendor show throughout the weekend.
Food trucks, breweries and wineries also will be at the event. For attendees 21 and older, beer vendors will craft their own versions of Insurance Guy Stout, “with $1 from each pour going to the Northwood Charitable Foundation,” according to the event website, theshindigmusicfestival.com.
Tickets begin at $23.18. Children under 16 years old are admitted free, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
In 2025, the festival raised nearly $22,000 for charity. Organizers are looking to continue to donate all proceeds to charity.
This year’s benefactors include Rock Steady Boxing Program, a program designed to help people with Parkinson’s disease regain mobility; Community Liver Alliance, a nonprofit educating and supporting patients on liver health; Zelienople Community Park; Zelienople police department; and Zelienople Area Public Library.
