STATE COLLEGE — Penn State police planned to charge a 20-year-old student with making a terroristic threat to shoot people at the university’s HUB.

Chief Tyrone Parham says the student has told police the post on the social media site Yik Yak was a “prank.” But the chief says, “Alarming an entire community is not considered a joke.”

Police arrested the student Sunday and will release his name sometime today.
