Butler attorney receives honor
PITTSBURGH — The Butler County Bar Association has announced that Butler attorney Marion Laffey-Ferry is the recipient of the Pioneering Champion of the Cause award from the Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania.
Butler County Bar Association President David L. Montgomery said the award is for Laffey-Ferry’s “steadfast and tireless work promoting opportunities for women in the law in Butler County and surrounding counties.”
Laffey-Ferry will be honored at the 25th anniversary celebration of the Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania and Susan B. Anthony Reception Tuesday at the William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh.
“Marion has always been willing to mentor other attorneys in order to enhance their professional and personal growth,” Montgomery said. “She is passionate about promoting opportunities for lawyers in Butler County and the surrounding community.
“Attorney Laffey-Ferry has selflessly given of her time, efforts and resources to support lawyers, and seek out and insist upon the highest standards of practice within the legal profession.”
The Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania also will be honoring members of the legal profession in the categories of Female Advocate, Male Advocate, Future Champions and Pioneering Champions of the Cause.
