Richard Weaver

Weaver

Richard “Rich” Weaver, 81, of Mars, passed away Friday evening, July 31, 2026, at UPMC Passavant Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born Oct. 22, 1944, in Philipsburg, Pa., he was the youngest son of three to Raymond and Frances Klosnick Weaver. After Rich met and married Nikki Weaver, his wife of 57 years, they continued to live and raise their family in Mars.

Rich was a draftsman/structural designer by trade and continued to do so until he retired in 2021. He served in the United States Navy and was a social member of the Mars VFW. A true classic car enthusiast and collector who had a special love for Packards and convertibles, he also had a deep love for animals and was often found supplementing the diets of the wildlife around his home. Rich enjoyed hunting, golfing and watching football and baseball. Known as a man of few words but a big heart who genuinely loved spending time with his family and friends, he is going to be greatly missed by both.

Rich is survived by his cherished children, Tracy L. (Stephen) and Raymond W.; his most adored grandchildren, Caitlyn (Derek) Houser and Chase Weaver; and grandpets Shaggy, Junnie, Sapphire and Tis the turtle. He is forever remembered by many loving brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary “Nikki” Weaver, his parents and both brothers, Robert (Frances) Weaver and Ronald Weaver.
