As part of the Steeples and Stacks Heritage Weekend, the Maridon Museum will present a special exhibit of items from its founder, Mary Hulton Phillips and the Phillips’ family, until Aug. 30.

Mary and her husband, Donald, were part of the T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Company family. The Phillips company and many others helped to build the Butler community. The company is now known as Peoples TWP and continues to serve the area today.

The items went out on display July 10 and will be exhibited through Aug. 30, according to the Maridon Museum’s website. The museum is located at 322 North McKean St., Butler, and more information is available on its website, Maridon.org.
