Brooks Roorback

Mars Area School Board has appointed Brooks Roorback as the assistant principal at Mars Area Elementary School.

Roorback replaces Dr. Samantha Flanhofer, who resigned from the position in fall 2025. He previously served as a sixth-grade mathematics teacher at Blackhawk School District.

A Mars resident, Roorback holds a master’s degree in leadership and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Duquesne University, as well as K-12 principal certification from the University of Pittsburgh, according to Mars Area School District.
