Butler County Community College is hosting the fourth annual Pioneer Pursuit on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the college’s main campus in Butler Township.

Pioneer Pursuit is a 5K run, one-mile walk and 100-meter “kids dash” that supports BC3 students and pioneer athletics.

The day begins at 10 a.m. with the 5K race through three laps of the Shaffer Walking Trail. Those not interested in running can participate in the one-mile walk starting at 10:30 a.m.

The 100-meter “kids dash” for those 14 and under will start at 11 a.m.

Registration for the event can be done online or in-person before the race. Cost is $35 for the race and walk. The dash costs $15.

Sponsorship opportunities are also open until Aug. 14.
