William Blakley III

William R. Blakley III, 80, of Cranberry Township, formerly of McCandless Township and Franklin Park, passed away Wednesday morning, July 29, 2026, at Kadema of Harmony.

Born in Pittsburgh on April 9, 1946, he was the son of William R. and Mabel McCalmon Blakley Jr.

William had been a police officer in Ohio Township, worked as a dispatcher for Holmes Beach, Fla., and most recently was a bus driver for A.J. Myers Transportation at Mars Area School District.

Bill enjoyed bowling and golfing.

Surviving are his wife, E. Jane Hewton Blakley, whom he married Jan. 3, 1970; two sons, William Blakley IV, of Evans City, and Kevin Charles Blakley (Shelly), of Williamston, Mich.; one grandson, Tyler Blakley (Ryan); a sister, Sharon Blakley, of Zelienople; and a brother, Denny Blakley (Denise), of Harmony.

BLAKLEY — Friends of William R. Blakley III, who died Wednesday, July 29, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
