GoFundMe created to support children of man who died in Sunday crash
A GoFundMe has raised about $40,000 so far to support the three children of T.V. Garrett Griffin after he died Saturday, July 25, in a single-vehicle crash on Beacon Road in Penn Township.
Griffin, 45, of Cranberry, died from his injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital after he was a passenger in a vehicle that struck a tree. The driver, Cody Lee Huffman, 38, of Harmony, died at the scene.
Organizer Sheana Kurtz wrote in the description the funds raised will support Griffin’s three children.
“While nothing can replace the love, guidance and presence of their father, we hope to honor Garrett by helping secure the future he always wanted for them,” she wrote.
As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, the GoFundMe had raised $38,117 from 105 donations toward a goal of $70,000.
“Garrett’s greatest joy in life was his family. He loved his children deeply and worked hard to provide them with every opportunity to learn, grow and pursue their dreams,” Kurtz wrote.
