Bret Michaels to appear at Belmont
Former Butler resident Bret Michaels, best known as the lead singer of the rock band Poison, will perform locally May 2.
EAST FRANKLIN — Bret Michaels, who grew up for a time in Butler, and his band on their Rock of Love Tour 2009 will perform May 2 at the Belmont Arena.
Famed as the lead singer of the 1980s rock band Poison, Michaels has most recently been seen as the star of VH1's "Rock of Love" reality television show.
The May 2 concert will raise money for two charitable organizations: the Armstrong County YMCA and the Burnt Ridge Bow and Gun Club.

Doors will open at 7 p.m., and seating is general admission. Local bands will open for Michaels.
