Kathleen "Kat" Andrews Conerty, 52, of Butler died Saturday at her home.

Born June 7, 1957, in Waterbury, Conn., she was a daughter of Joan Howard Andrews and the late John Joseph Andrews.

Kat was a 1975 graduate of JFK High School in Waterbury.

She worked as a surgical technologist at Butler Memorial Hospital for 11 years.

She married Terry F. Conerty on Feb. 12, 1985, and was a former member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Along with her husband, she is survived by a son, Shane P. Conerty of Ashville, N.C.; her mother of Waterbury; a brother, Michael S. Andrews of Waterbury; two sisters, Patricia Andrews and Maureen Kelley, both of Waterbury; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her father, two brothers, and a sister preceded her in death.

<B>CONERTY</B> — There will be no public visitation for Kathleen "Kat" Andrews Conerty, who died Saturday, June 5, 2010.Private funeral services will be at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>. Cremation will follow.In lieu of flowers, Kat's request was that memorial donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018.
