Mont Leonard Minor, 96, was born June 21, 1913, to Orlo Sheriden Minor and Jessie Noble Minor in Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County.

Mr. Minor lived at the Grove Manor Nursing Home in Grove City, where he passed away Thursday. He formerly lived in Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County.

He married Agnes Moore on May 2, 1940, and for many years, they owned and operated a school bus for the Wilmington School District. Together they farmed and enjoyed their Black Angus cattle, taking them to county fairs for show.

Mont was a member of the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church and attended the North Liberty Presbyterian Church

He enjoyed bowling and sponsoring bowling teams.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Agnes; his brothers, Paul, Walter, Chalmer, Theodore, Ralph and Frank; and his sisters, Margaret and Hilda.

<B>MINOR</B> — Friends of Mont Leonard Minor, who died Thursday, June 10, 2010, will be received from 1 until the time of service at 3 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home,</B> 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Presiding at the service will be Pastor Rob Guy, chaplain of Grove Manor, and the Rev. Willard Morse, a retired pastor. Interment will be in the South Plain Grove Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to Grove Manor Recreation Fund.
