Joseph A. Liska
Joseph A. Liska, 88, of Mars, formerly of Stone Mountain, Ga., died Sunday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, in Cranberry Township.
Born Oct. 27, 1921, in Springfield, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Mazak Liska.
He graduated from Etna High School in 1939, and then from the Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1942.
He was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church and the A-Team at the church.
He was an avid golfer.
He was a retired metallurgist, from the Wright Aeronautical Corp., in Lockland, Ohio.
He was a 21-year veteran of the Air Force, where he was a special investigations officer with the OSI.
Surviving are a sister, Amy Mellor of Mars; a brother, Arnold Liska of North Hills; two nieces, Patty Mellor and Amy Wonderly; and two nephews, Wally and Dave Mellor.
<B>LISKA</B> — There will be no visitation for Joseph A. Liska, who died Sunday, July 18, 2010. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, with the Rev. Nathan Esser, pastor, officiating.
