The Slippery Rock University men's basketball team came within a whisker of toppling undefeated Millersville on the road Sunday afternoon, but instead lost 81-77 in double overtime.

The Rock (1-4) led 57-44 with seven minutes remaining in regulation and led by six points with 90 seconds remaining, but could not hold on to the lead.

Errol Robinson scored 27 points off the bench for The Rock. Ken Ottrix added 18 points and 11 rebounds and Jamar Scales had 15 points and nine boards.

Four of the five Slippery Rock starters fouled out of the game.

SRU committed 29 turnovers and shot 32 percent from the field in a 72-45 loss to Millersville Sunday afternoon.Haley Gaidosh and KellyAn Staudinger paced The Rock with eight points apiece.
