George T. Butler Jr., 90, of Zelienople, formerly of Clinton, N.Y., died Saturday morning.

Born in Harrisburg, March 5, 1920, he was the son of the late George T. and Carolyn D. Gale Butler.

Mr. Butler was an electrical engineer for General Electric.

George was a member of the Episcopal church and had served as an organist for his church in Yonkers, N.Y. He was a former member of the Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Clarks Mills, N.Y., and a long term blood donor.

He was an active supporter of the Clinton Figure Skating Club, an avid camper and enjoyed his pets.

George was a technician 5th grade in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth A. Richenderfer (Tom) of Fairport, N.Y., and Carol L. Butler, D.V.M. of Harmony. He was the grandfather of Laura and Andrew Richenderfer and Rae and Quai Butler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine E. Marling Butler, in 2004.
