Butler County Symphony Orchestra will perform "Treasured Gems," part of its 60th anniversary series, at 7:30 p.m. March 14 at the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium, 551 Fairground Hill Road. The concert will include a performance by alto saxophonist Justin Polyblank, winner of the symphony association's 30th annual young artist competition; an original piece called "Hometown Miniatures" by Drew Fennell, Composer of the Year; a special guest conductor appearance by Edward Leonard, and a performance from pipa virtuoso Ming Ke.
