Joseph J. "Jay" "Joe" Jaso Jr., 52, of Ellicott City, Md., died the evening of Aug. 10 in a single-engine plane crash in Massachusetts.

He was a self-employed certified financial planner (CFP) in Maryland.

Joe was a 1976 honors graduate of Seneca Valley High School and was on the golf team.

He is survived by his son, Matthew; his daughter, Kimberly; his mother, Frances of Zelienople; his brother, Lt. Col. Jeff Jaso of Fort McPherson, Ga.; his sister, Jennifer of Pittsburgh; and his brother Jonathan of Pittsburgh.

<B>JASO</B> — Funeral services for Joseph J. "Joe" Jaso Jr., who died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, were held Aug. 18 at St. John's Episcopal Church, Ellicott City, Md. Interment was at St. John's Cemetery.
