DeMarco III

Albert J. DeMarco III, 46, of Parker passed away at 9 a.m. Saturday of natural causes at his home.

Born in Pittsburgh, July 15, 1964, he was the son of the late Albert J. Jr. and Patricia Ann Makepeace DeMarco.

He was married to the former Eileen Brener DeMarco, who survives.

Al was employed several years as a corrections officer in Pittsburgh with SCI, Western Pennsylvania Correction, from where he retired.

Mr. DeMarco proudly served full time with the U.S. Army for several years with duty in Desert Storm/Shield and other incursions. He then became a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and was still on duty with the 307th MP Co. at New Kensington at the time of his death.

Attaining the rank of staff sergeant, he earned numerous decorations and awards. Among those, he earned the Army Achievement Medal four times, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, the Overseas Service Ribbon three times and many more.

He was a member of the VFW Post 7073 of Parker and the Dallas Lodge of Masonic Order of Pittsburgh.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Albert J. IV and Christopher DeMarco, both of Pittsburgh; three siblings, Michael B. and Patricia Ann DeMarco, both of Pittsburgh, and Debora Ann McDonough of Florida; his father-in-law: "Jack" Brener of Pittsburgh; and two uncles, Frank and Edward DeMarco, both of Pittsburgh.

<B>DEMARCO</B> — Visitation for Albert J. DeMarco III, who died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the H. <B>Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker. Graveside services will be Wednesday morning at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Cemetery in Pittsburgh.Members of the VFW and the American Legion will conduct veterans services at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Information also is available at www.buzardfuneralhomes.com.
