Jessie Cumberland
Jessie Cumberland, 94, of Concordia at the Orchard went home Friday to be with the Lord.
Jessie, formerly of Butler, moved with her husband, Marshall, to Leesburg, Fla., for 25 years before moving to the Orchard in 2002.
She felt blessed to have raised her family of four and then to have gained her new family at the Orchard. She deeply loved those who lovingly cared for her.
She was best known for her spirit of contentment.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyliss (and Reid) Graham of Renfrew; a son, Larry (and Karon) Cumberland of Livermore, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Joan Cumberland of Butler; a son-in-law, Robert Bain of Baltimore, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall L. Cumberland, in 1995; one son, Edison; one daughter, Marsha; two infant sons; one infant daughter; three sisters; and one brother.
<B>CUMBERLAND</B> — A memorial service for Jessie Cumberland, who died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home </B>with a pastor from Community Alliance Church officiating.
