Clifford S. Barker
Clifford Scott Barker passed away Saturday in Florida at the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home, where he lived for 11 years.
He was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Butler, the son of John K. and Lila Scott Barker.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he earned a doctorate in metallurgy.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne; sons, Russell, Mitchell, Clifford Jr. and his wife, Jean, and Alan and his wife, Melanie; and daughter, Linda Barnette (Barker). He has seven grandchildren, Sam, Carrie, Alex, Hadley, and Reece Barker, and Lauren and Ian Barnette.
He belonged to several metallurgical societies and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
