Bruce Steven Chojnacki, 60, of Butler passed away at 10:50 p.m. Monday at his home after fighting cancer since November 2009.

He was born June 9, 1950, in Springfield, Mass., the son of the late Anthony "Tony" Chojnacki and the late Dorothy (Quist) Chojnacki.

Bruce was a mechanic at L&M Tire in New Kensington, where he later became manager.

He was highly loved and respected by his family and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Marleen (McGreevy) Chojnacki, who he married April 23, 1984; three daughters, Rebecca Means of West Sunbury, Dawn Chojnacki of Apollo and Sue Chojnacki of Pittsburgh; his former son-in-law, Darrin Means; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie Chojnacki of Churchill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Patty Wade, who died Dec. 17, 2002.
