[naviga:h3]Deadline set for marriage licenses[/naviga:h3]
Sarah Edwards, register of wills and clerk of orphans’ court, reminds couples planning to marry over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to apply for their marriage licenses by Nov. 17. State law requires a minimum 3-day waiting period following application.
All holiday marriage licenses must be picked up no later than 4 p.m. Nov. 22. The Government Center will be closed Nov. 23 and Nov. 24.
The Marriage License Bureau is in the Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court Office, Level L, of the Butler County Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Tickets are available for the 43rd annual International Dinner at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Robert M. Smith Student Center Ballroom, 107 Central Loop at Slippery Rock University.
The university’s international students will provide food and entertainment.
