Thomas W. Emery
Thomas W. "Slim" Emery, 73, of Butler passed away at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Penn Township to the late Ralph and Elizabeth Emery.
Mr. Emery was a retired steel worker from Armco Steel.
He was a member of the North Street Christian Church. Mr. Emery also was a member of the Butler Elks 249, the American Legion Post 117 and the Italian Society.
He enjoyed his family, golfing, camping trips and his faithful friend, Jixxie.
Mr. Emery is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Dorothy, who he married Oct. 6, 1979. He also is survived by one daughter, Lori L. Duncan, and her fiancee, John; three sons, Mark, Stephen and Michael; two daughters, Lisa and Paula; two sisters, Shirley Shuber and Honey Emery; one brother-in-law, Michael (Karen) Small; two nieces, Kelly (Alex) Michalas and Krista Small; and a great-niece, Maddie Michalas.
<B>EMERY </B>— Friends of Thomas W. "Slim" Emery, who died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, were received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Huber officiating.
