Joanne Dunnigan, 70, of Butler passed away Thursday at her home.

Born Aug. 12, 1940, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of William Dunnigan and Mary Brunner Dunnigan.

She had been a teacher for the Pine-Richland School District.

She loved animals, especially her horses, crocheting, reading and gardening.

Surviving are her brother, William C. Dunnigan of Butler; a sister, Mary Dunnigan of Butler, five nieces; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
