Pennsylvania Lottery awards bonus to stores that sell winning tickets
Pennsylvania Lottery retailers receive a bonus whenever they sell a winning ticket worth $100,000 or more. The Sheetz on Ehrman Road in Cranberry Township was the latest in Butler County to get a winning ticket bonus.
The Cranberry Township Sheetz earned a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket for the June 16 Pennsylvania Lottery Match 6 Lotto drawing. The ticket holder netted $1.27 million for the win.
The Pennsylvania Lottery gives stores bonuses based on the amount of money a ticket wins.
Ewa Swope, press secretary for the Pennsylvania Lottery, said in an email the Pennsylvania Lottery has a network of nearly 10,000 retailers that play a critical role in helping the Lottery fulfill its mission.
