Richard Druschel Jr.
Richard L. Druschel Jr., 70, of Loudon, Tenn., passed away Friday, July 17, 2026, while under the care of Fort Loudoun Medical Center.
Born March 23, 1956, in Ellwood City, Pa., he was the son of the late Richard L. and Emma R. Druschel.
Rick graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in German language. He worked for Butler Memorial Hospital for many years until his retirement.
He was a member of North Street Christian Church in Butler. He also was a member of the German Club and Piney Ruritan Club in Loudon, Tenn. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, volleyball and baseball. Rick was also a wildlife enthusiast. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Rick leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Valerie Druschel; his brothers, David Druschel, Donnie (Barb) Druschel and Allan Druschel; his nieces and nephews, Jacob and Sarah Shoup, Dan and Jordan Druschel and Amber (Shawn) Thomas; his great-nieces, Ella and Olivia Thomas, and Hailee and Chloe Druschel; his dog, Dakota; and his horses, Scout and Dreamer.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Lee; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
DRUSCHEL — Friends of Richard L. Druschel Jr., who died Friday, July 17, 2026, will be received from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew, with Pastor Jeff Miller officiating.
Rick will be laid to rest at White Oak Cemetery in Meyersdale, Pa.
