James Y. MacFee
James Y. MacFee, 81, of Butler died Friday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Butler, July 15, 1929, a son of the late Norman G. and Mary McCallum MacFee.
Jim had worked as a heavy equipment operator at the Butler Armco Steel plant for 42 years until retiring in 1991.
He was a member of the Christ Outreach Church of Butler.
He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and boating. He was a former member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Butler Chapter, and had volunteered service on the Allegheny River. He also liked spending time at his camp in Elk County. An avid motorcyclist, along with his wife, they had ridden more than 125,000 miles on their bikes while touring the country.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Mager MacFee. They married Aug. 12, 1950, and she passed away May 20, 2003. Also a brother, Norman W. MacFee, and a sister, Mary Lou Cramner are deceased.
Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Lewis and Sheila Kunselman, both of Wampum, and Karen Maley and her husband, Dave, of Butler; a sister, Darley (Jim) Huntsberger of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
<B>MACFEE </B>— Friends of James Y. MacFee, who died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. His pastor, the Rev. Andrew Brewer, will officiate.
