An Ellwood City man is accused of “fondling” himself while watching pornography in a Dollar General parking lot in Slippery Rock Township.

Gary John MacDonald, 62, was charged Wednesday, July 15, by state police with one misdemeanor count each of indecent exposure and open lewdness following an incident Tuesday.

Police said they were dispatched around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday to Dollar General on Centerville Pike for the reported behavior. Police said they encountered MacDonald sitting in the front seat of his vehicle while rubbing his genitals through his clothes and watching a pornography website.

A woman at the scene told police she had pulled up beside MacDonald’s car and saw him expose himself.

MacDonald’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Aug. 5 before District Judge Joseph Nash.
