PITTSBURGH — After months of saying he would run for a second term and fundraising for the effort, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett is kicking off a multiday, cross-state event tour to raise his profile with a year to go until election day.
Corbett, a Republican, was to appear this morning at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, his home base.
After that, he'll fly to Pittston in northeastern Pennsylvania for an afternoon rally at a construction company that specializes in pipelines.
PITTSBURGH — The owners of Pittsburgh's Station Square entertainment complex say it's no longer for sale, and that they're instead seeking a partner to help develop residences on the site.Jeffrey Linton, a spokesman for Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises, said that the company “tested the waters” but didn't find a buyer willing to pay what the owners think Station Square is worth.The dining, office and entertainment complex is based on 52 acres that includes the former Pittsburgh & Lake Erie railroad terminal along the Monongahela River.Forest City bought the complex in 1994.
