East Brady plans light-up night
The East Brady Area We Believe Light-Up Night will begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 4, and many activities are planned.
The Allegheny Hills Retirement Residence at 421 Kelly's Way will host a sloppy joe lunch, rummage sale and Ice Jam jam sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tickets for a 50/50 raffle to benefit the East Brady Area Development Corporation will be on sale at the retirement residence as well.
From 4 to 5 p.m., homemade cookies, popcorn, coffee and hot chocolate will be available at the Farmer's National Bank parking lot on Kelly's Way.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by rescue boat escorted by volunteers from the East Brady Volunteer Fire Department.
Photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be available at the East Brady Baptist Church, and treat bags will be provided by the East Brady Riverfest Committee.
Light-up festivities will begin at 5 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park on Kelly's Way, where East Brady officials will offer a welcome and the mayor will perform an invocation.
One local veteran will be recognized by the East Brady American Legion.
Young clients from Mother Goose Christian Preschool will sing Christmas carols, and several local vocalists will entertain as holiday trees and candles are lit.
New for 2021 is a luminary that will be lit on Christmas Eve and placed across the Sgt. Carl F. Curran II Bridge, illuminating homes and churches along the way.
The 2021 holiday events are cosponsored by the East Brady Area Development Corporation and the borough.
All are invited to attend.
