Toby Bowser scored off an assist from Patrick Cormac to account for the lone goal as the Slippery Rock University men's soccer team fell to California (Pa.) 3-1 in a PSAC West game Wednesday.

SRU(5-4-1, 1-3) will host Shippensburg Saturday.

Sarah Lacy made eight saves, but The Rock still bowed to California (Pa.) 2-0.The win was the Vulcans' first against SRU since 1995, a string of 16 games. SRU(7-2-1, 4-2-1) saw its three-game winning streak come to an end.
