Dennis A. Rice

Dennis “Denny” Andrew Rice, 63, of Gambrills, Md., formerly of Severn, Md., died Tuesday at his home after a 3-month illness with pancreatic cancer.

Born Dec. 23, 1947, in Butler, he was a graduate of Allegheny Technical Institute of Pittsburgh and was employed by Westinghouse/Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, Md., from 1967 to 2007.

Mr. Rice was a member of the Severna Park United Methodist Church and the Carroll's Creek Condominium Association.

He enjoyed golf, photography, videography, travel and bowling.

Surviving are his wife, Carol D. Rice, who he married in 1989; a stepson, Gregory Borders of Owings Mills, Md; a stepdaughter, Aileen Borders of Silver Spring, Md.; his mother, Genevieve Rice of Butler; brothers, Keith Rice of Butler and Dale Rice of Butler; and one grandchild.

<B>RICE </B>— Visitation for Dennis “Denny” Andrew Rice, who died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at <B>Hardesty Funeral Home</B>, Gambrills, Md. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road, Severna Park, Md.
