Mitzi R. McMullan, 53, of Buffalo Township, Newport, Perry County, passed away Sunday in Holy Spirit Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born Nov. 12, 1957, in Butler County.

She was a substitute teacher in the Newport and Greenwood school districts and enjoyed sewing, her dogs, and especially spending time with her family.

Mitzi is survived by her husband, Richard K. McMullan; a daughter, Dianna McMullan of Newport; sons Kevin McMullan of Newport and Marc McMullan of Harrisburg; her mother, Peggy Munn of Pymatuning Lake, Pa.; sisters Heidi Munn and Darci Brennen of Pittsburgh; grandsons Anthony and Ryan McMullan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Munn.

McMullan, who died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, are invited to a memorial service at 5 p.m. Thursday at <B>David Myers Funeral Home</B>, Newport, where visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
