MERCER — The Mercer County woman who hired her lover to kill her wealthy husband on the Ohio Turnpike two years ago has had her probation for a drug violation revoked in Mercer County.
Donna Moonda is already serving life in prison in the death of 69-year-old Dr. Gulam Moonda. She was convicted in Ohio in July.
At the time of the murder, the 48-year-old Moonda was on probation for stealing painkillers. Prosecutors say she violated probation because she didn't get approval to leave Mercer County before driving to Ohio.
On Thursday, a judge revoked her probation and sentenced her to up to three years in state prison. She will serve the sentence if her federal murder conviction or sentence are ever overturned.
