James Robert “Bob” McWilliams, 83, of Sarver died Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born March 21, 1928, in Buffalo Township, he was a son of Cecil L. McWilliams Sr. and Charlotte A. (Mitchell) McWilliams.

He spent most of his life in the Saxonburg and Sarver area. He was a U.S. Navy veteran based in Seattle, San Diego and Corpus Christie.

Employed by AK Steel in Butler, he gave over four decades of service there and was nicknamed ‘Mac' by his fellow employees.

He was very active at the Faith Lutheran Church in Butler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; his parents; two brothers, and two sisters, making him the last member of his immediate family.

He is survived by a son, Rick (Nancy) of Butler; four daughters, Bobbi Ann of the San Francisco Bay area, Sandy of Saxonburg, Lori (Doug) of Tulsa, Okla., and Peggy of Sarver; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

<B>MCWILLIAMS</B> — Friends of James Robert “Bob” McWilliams, who died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Brian Westgate officiating.
