Dorothy M. Kontos, 94, of Saxonburg passed away on Tuesday at her home.

Born Oct. 4, 1917, in Cabot, she was the daughter of Joseph Harlan Davis and Helen Fair.

She was a registered nurse at Butler Memorial Hospital from 1938 until 1962 and then was a nurse at Armco Steel, now AK Steel, from 1962 until 1981. Dorothy enjoyed Pirates baseball.

Surviving are her son, Bruce Kontos of Saxonburg; her granddaughters, Joy (Daniel) Lavezoli of Pittsburgh and Jeannine (Leon) Edwards of Virginia Beach, Va.; four great- grandchildren, Lauren, Faith, Justin and Jordan; her brother, James Davis of Butler; her daughter-in-law, Ida Jean Kontos of Pittsburgh; and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James Kontos; one sister, Audene Weleski; and one brother, Jack Fair.

Kontos, who passed away, Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, will be received on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg, with the Rev.
