Lillian N. Schad
Lillian N. Schad, 83, of Butler passed away Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Butler, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Nagy.
Lillian was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Butler Chapter 45, the Grand Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, and a past board member of Sunnyview Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from PNC Bank after 42 years.
Surviving are two sons, James (Sheila) A. Schad of Saint Albans, W.Va., and Larry Schad of Butler; two grandchildren, Cory Schad of Beverly, Mass., and Erin Schad of Knoxville, Tenn.; two step-grandchildren, Brandon Begley of Louisville, Ky., and Meredith Begley of Hurricane, W.Va.; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Sue Johnston currently at Concordia and Shirley Ostren of Charlotte, N.C.; and a brother, Edward Schad of Butler.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Schad, who died in 1995, and a sister, Esther Gutchous.
<B>SCHAD</B> — Friends of Lillian N. Schad, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, will be received at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The Order of Easter Star will have a service at 5:45 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
