Evelyn R. Raisley Weissert
Evelyn R. Raisley Weissert, 95, of Zelienople, formerly of Rochester, died Tuesday morning at Passavant Retirement Community.
Born in Mt. Chestnut, on Feb. 27, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Frances McCandless Raisley.
A homemaker, Mrs. Weissert was a member of the Rochester Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a nephew who she raised, Larry Hays and his wife, Susan, of Evans City; her “grandchildren,” Benjamin Hays (Deborah) and Sarah and Timothy Hays; four “great- grandchildren”; and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson P. Weissert, who she married on Nov. 6, 1936, and who died on May 9, 2010; a brother, Kenneth Raisley, and a sister, Ruth Hays.
<B>WEISSERT</B> — Friends of Evelyn R. Raisley Weissert, who died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, will be received at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from noon to 4 p.m. Friday. The service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Smith, pastor of the First Bible Baptist Church of Harmony, officiating.
