Charlotte Taylor Whittick
Charlotte Taylor Whittick, 94, of Zelienople died peacefully Monday at Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.
Born Sept. 7, 1917, in Chester, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Hamilton and Charlotte Dyson Taylor.
She led a life of adventure and travel as a military wife. She kept a feisty zest for living all her life. Charlotte was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Nurses Corps.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved husband, retired Brig. Gen. John Robert Whittick, who died Sept. 22, 2000.
Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Sue Ann Whittick of Zelienople and Jane Ann Yohn and her husband, James, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; two grandsons, James L. Yohn III and his wife, Tammy, and Daniel Alexander Yohn and his wife, Brenda; and four loving great-grandchildren, Nicholas Alexander Yohn, Erika Kathryn Yohn, Noah Robert Yohn and Charlotte Ashley Yohn.
She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Jack at Indiantown Gap, where they served in the U.S Army, met and married. The circle is now complete.
The family thanks the wonderful staff at Evergreen Nursing Center for being Charlotte's “second family” during the years she spent there.
