Charles A. Perry

Charles A. Perry, 79, of Valencia died Saturday evening at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Pittsburgh, Sept. 13, 1932, he was the son of the late Zerah and Viola Stickney Perry.

Mr. Perry was a self-employed landscaper. Prior to that he had worked for Glenshaw Glass and as a miner.

He was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church and had served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved horses.

Surviving are his wife, Oneta Westbrook Perry, who he married on July 26, 1957; three sons, Benjamin Perry of Valencia, Clifford Perry and his wife, Lisa, of Baden, and Westbrook Perry of Valencia; his grandchildren, Randy Lee Morris and Nicholas and Madison Perry.

Mr. Perry also is survived by two sisters, Mary Fink of West Deer Township and Lillian Willing and her husband, Hugh, of Middlesex Township. He also is survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Osbourne and Bessie Swindells, and three brothers, Joseph, Zerah and Lavern Perry.

<B>PERRY</B> — Friends of Charles A. Perry, 79, of Valencia, who died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>MCDONALD AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, INC.</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia.
