Barbara A. Burke Davis, 67, of Zelienople went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday while under the care of UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born Jan. 14, 1945, in Avalon, she was the daughter of the late William and Madeline (Lindow) Burke.

Barbara was a 1966 graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she earned her teaching degree. She enjoyed teaching, reading and was an avid Steelers fan. Above all, she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family deeply. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Pastor Gail Davis of Zelienople; two daughters, Lori Merola and her husband, John, of Beaver Falls and Jennifer Davis of Perryville, Md.; her son, Burke Davis and his wife, Christen, of Toledo, Ohio; her brother, Bill Burke and his wife, Lorraine, of Florida; her sister, Bev Kuhn and her husband, Howard, of Butler; and 10 loving grandchildren, Joshua, Josiah and Jonathan Merola, Joseph, Christopher and Samuel Hawley and Claire, Seth, Benjamin and Emma Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, the late Greg Davis.
