Mary Swisher

Mary Delores Swisher, 87, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Louis and Margaret (Roth) Verno.

Mary retired from Sak's Fifth Avenue in Pittsburgh. She enjoyed bowling and had been on several leagues. She also loved the outdoors and planting flowers. Her biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” (Carl) Martini of Butler, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Swisher Sr.; a son, Donald E. Swisher Jr.; six sisters; and one brother.
