Dorothy E. Nary, 95, a resident of Cabot, died Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia. Before her move to Concordia, she lived in Sarver.

She was born March 6, 1917, in Butler, to the late Isaac and Charlotte (Birch) Atkinson.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Nary, a former teacher at Highlands and a teacher and coach at Tarentum and Har-Brack school districts.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Thomas I. (Tamara) Nary of Newton, Mass.; her daughter, Joellen C. (Peter Bickel) Nary of Hampton Township; and nine grandchildren.

For many years, Dorothy was an active member of the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Butler and was a current member of the Calvary Episcopal Church in Shadyside.
